In 2004, the first higHly pathogenic avian influenza outbreak among poultry . This was an outbreak of avian influenza A ( H5N2 ) In TAXAS . The outbrake was reported in a flock 7000 , chickens in south-central Taxas . There was no report of transmission to humans .
There are many avian influenza A VIRUSES, but only five subtypes of some strains have been highly pathogenic in human , they are type H5N1, H7N2, H7N3, H7N7 ,and H9N2 ..
